These mileages will give you the chance to stop for lunch, and the opportunity to take photographs on most days, as occasionally there may be days with longer miles. Please consider the daily mileages if wishing to walk over the winter months due to shorter day light hours.

Bude to Crackington Haven

Crackington Haven to Tintagel
Distance: 11.5 miles Difficulty: Strenuous/Moderate
Day 4:
Tintagel to Port Isaac
Distance: 9.5 miles Difficulty: Strenuous
- Day 5:
Port Isaac to Padstow
Distance: 12 miles Difficulty: Strenuous

Short ferry ride from Rock to Padstow.

Padstow to Porthcothan
Distance: 13.5 miles Difficulty: Easy

Day 7:
Porthcothan to Newquay
Distance: 10.5 miles Difficulty: Moderate
- Day 8:
Newquay to Perranporth
Distance: 11 miles Difficulty: Moderate/Strenuous

The distance above is based on crossing The Gannel at Fern Pit Cafe, either using the bridge (low tide) or the ferry (high tide / operates May to mid September). There are 2 alternative bridges to take a little further upstream. Penpol Bridge +1 mile or Trenance Bridge +2.5 miles.

Perranporth to Portreath

Day 10:
Portreath to St Ives
Distance: 17.5 miles Difficulty: Moderate/Easy
- Day 11:
St Ives to Zennor
Distance: 6.5 miles Difficulty: Strenuous

Zennor to St Just
Distance: 12 miles Difficulty: Strenuous

St Just to Porthcurno
Distance: 13 miles Difficulty: Moderate

Day 14:
Porthcurno to Penzance
Distance: 11 miles Difficulty: Moderate
Day 15:
Penzance to Porthleven
Distance: 13.5 miles Difficulty: Easy/Strenuous
Day 16:
Porthleven to The Lizard
Distance: 13.5 miles Difficulty: Moderate
Day 17:
The Lizard to Coverack
Distance: 10.5 miles Difficulty: Moderate/Strenuous
- Day 18:
Coverack to Helford Passage
Distance: 13 miles Difficulty: Moderate

There are 2 river crossings to consider today. Gillan Creek can be waded 3 hour either side of low tide and there is a small ferry operating 3 hours either side of high tide April til October. The Helford can be crossed throughout the day using the ferry. During Spring tides, there are occasions were the Helford ferry is unable to operate for 1-3 hours if the tide is extremely low.

Day 19:
Helford Passage to Falmouth
Distance: 9.5 miles Difficulty: Easy
- Day 20:
Falmouth to Portloe
Distance: 13.5 miles Difficulty: Easy/Strenuous

Two ferry crossings are required on this stretch.
Due to a lack of accommodation in Portloe, it may be necessary to accommodate you elsewhere and include transfers to and from the accommodation.

Day 21:
Portloe to Mevagissey
Distance: 12 miles Difficulty: Strenuous/Easy
Day 22:
Mevagissey to Charlestown
Distance: 7.5 miles Difficulty: Strenuous
Day 23:
Charlestown to Fowey
Distance: 10 miles Difficulty: Easy/Moderate
- Day 24:
Fowey to Looe
Distance: 12.5 miles Difficulty: Strenuous/Moderate

A ferry is required between Fowey and Polruan.
